Sales Associate II

Location: Suite 400, South San Francisco, California, United States of America


  • Create sales strategy with the support of manager for territory
  • Conduct marketing and sales independently in academic and small biotech accounts
  • Conduct vendor shows, lunch and learns in academic and small biotech accounts
  • Update price lists, create new price lists, and write quotes
  • Execute CDA's, service agreements, and other documents
  • Follow up with new customers and reply to basic incoming price inquiries
  • Support field reps from the office including; retrieving data from internal systems such as customer relationship management system (CRM/Salesforce) and project data bases (CLIMS)
  • Prepare reports as needed for territory and account management
  • Prepare drop box materials and manage drop boxes
  • Process accounting credit checks for new biotech accounts
  • Lead generation and data entry into CRM
  • Work on a career track to become a sales or marketing professional
  • Train Sales Assistants and/or Associates

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, experience, abilities, and other requirements):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences required
  • 2+ years of related experience required
  • 3+ years of related experience preferred
  • Background in Molecular Biology required
  • Previous sales experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • Ability to speak in public and interact with customers with confidence and ease
  • Willing and able to travel overnight as required (up to 5 nights per month)
