Sales Operations Associate

We are seeking collaborative, detail oriented, analytical individuals who can help streamline sales processes and improve sales effectiveness. Ideal candidate will have previous experience with sales support, customer support, project management, CRM and ERP platforms, and complex data analysis. This position is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are driven by superior customer service, continuous improvement, and out of the box solutioning.

Key Focus Areas

  • Sales Operations
    • Work to generate and qualify new leads for sales
    • Serve as a liaison for the sales team with the functional units (IT, finance, etc.) and business units (GA, GS, etc.) on projects where sales team input is required for a process development
    • Facilitate relationships, customers, and orders on third party bidding sites
    • Coordinate the execution and filing of legal agreements, sales agreements, and other documents such as vendor forms
    • Prepare reports as needed for territory and account management
      • Work on difficult/complex requests as needed by sales team that include but not limited to revenue/ordering trend analyses, and annual spend/savings reports
  • Sales Enablement Initiatives
    • Analyze and streamline processes to increase the efficiency of the sales team including but not limited to:
      • CRM administrative functions
      • Reporting and revenue analysis
      • Lead generation, qualification, and management
      • Sales materials supply chain
    • SOP Management/Update
      • Work on updating SOPs as needed
      • Writing new SOPs for sales and sales operations processes
    • Explore, develop, and manage sales tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint sites
  • Sales Team Onboarding
    • Sales Territory set up, assignment, and training
    • Basic sales SOP and technical training
    • Startup supplies
  • Sales and Sales Support
    • Assist in the coverage of territories when the primary contact is out of the office or where additional support is needed both in office and in field
    • Update and create price lists and sales quotes
    • Follow up with new customers and reply to basic incoming price inquiries
    • Support field reps from the office including; retrieving data from internal systems such as customer relationship management system and project data bases (CLIMS)
  • Local Marketing Execution Support - Support sales team in local marketing campaign management and execution such as:
    • Mass emails
    • Promotional and collateral materials management

Education/ Experience/ Attributes

Qualified candidates will have at least a 4-year undergraduate degree (Molecular Biology or Life Science, preferred) and 2+ years of Sales, Sales Operations or Marketing experience preferably in the direct Biotech market. Candidates will be assessed on their interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.  We will also explore behaviors that demonstrate excellent organizational and project management skill. Candidates must be able to travel with overnight stays; primarily domestic and rated occasional.
