Manager, Customer Support

Location: South Plainfield, New Jersey, United States of America

We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our Customer Support team! Do you have excellent communication, a penchant for travel, a go-getter attitude, and experience in management? If your answer is yes to either of those questions, you could be the perfect fit for our team!

We are seeking a Manager to join our Customer Support team.

Location:            South Plainfield, New Jersey


  • Create and execute strategy for department to ensure enterprise needs and vision are met   

  • Responsible for annual budgeting 

  • Create and maintain KPIs, and provide updates to management 

  • Perform high level technical troubleshooting with customers 

  • Travel with sales to visit customers and host seminars when needed 

  • Host/coordinate webinars with marketing and develop new webinars as needed 

  • Ensure quality delivery of dedicated GENEWIZ services, including trending 

  • Advocate for CLIMS improvements 

  • Oversee training of all team members with assistance from other senior members of the team 

  • Perform regular one on one’s, performance reviews, and provide feedback as needed for direct reports 

  • Mentor new members to the department 

  • Follow SOPs and guidance of supervisors. 


  • PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent years of related experience required 

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer support function recommended \Experience managing or leading a team required 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; both verbal and written are essential

  • Closely follow Standard Operating Protocol
