How You’ll Add Value…

Azenta is seeking a part-time Courier to service the San Diego, CA area!  This individual’s courier route will take place primarily in the UCSD/Sorrento Valley area, with a final drop-off occurring in Torrey Pines.  In this role, you will be critical to both our company’s success and the success of our customers.  Samples are our customers’ most valuable assets, and by safely and efficiently transporting samples to and from our customers, you enable them to meet time-sensitive deadlines as we collectively work together to bring impactful breakthroughs and therapies to market faster.

What You’ll Do…

  • On time pickup/delivery of customer samples (including use of internal app at all times) following established schedules and guidelines
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from dispatcher for additional stops as needed
  • Handle all samples in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisor and staff
  • Safely operate vehicle and obey all traffic laws
  • Have basic understanding of local courier routes
  • Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed
  • Assist in office with internal/external FedEx shipments and sample check-in as needed
  • Provide superb customer service at all times
  • Maintain primary courier vehicle in good condition

What You’ll Bring…

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Valid US Driver’s License in good standing
  • At least (1) year of driving experience required
  • Previous courier experience is preferred
  • Must have own reliable vehicle
  • Must have commercial auto insurance while employed
  • Very punctual and strong time management skills
  • Must adhere to the company’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Standards of Conduct policy in addition to all other policies and procedures
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance as a representative of the company
  • Must have the ability to provide courteous, professional, and efficient customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems independently
  • Strong attention to detail

Working Conditions/ Schedule

  • Able to lift up to 10 lbs. and bend frequently
  • Part-time up to 20 hrs per week
